Never let it be said that there is not a diversity of viewpoints on the Fox News Channel. Shepard Smith, who used to anchor the 7 PM News Hour has of late been relegated to his other show at 3 PM along with heading the FNC Breaking News division.
The coverage of the Baltimore Riots on Monday afternoon started to encroach into the opinion portion of FNC's lineup with "The Five". Shepard Smith had been giving context for the bad behavior in Baltimore, echoing the liberal line that it was all about police brutality and the Freddie Gray death.
Greg Gutfeld finally had enough of Shep justifying the rioting and called Shep out. While it may be difficult for Shep, he should stick to straight news delivery. He's whimsical and warming. But he goes astray when a newsie delves into opining on breaking news, particularly for FNC
