An Awkward Ride in the Senate

The day after Senator Rand Paul's (R-KY) blockbuster 13 hour filibuster over Obama Administration ambiguity about launching drone attacks on American soil by non-immanent actors, senior Arizona Senator had some choice remarks on the Senate floor.

McCain could not voice these notes of dissent during the filibuster as he was otherwise engaged enjoying a fancy dinner at the Jefferson Hotel with President Barack Obama, Senator Lindsey Graham et ali.  Perhaps it was at the Cocktail Party that McCain procured his one liners to try to belittle Senator Rand Paul.

After the former Republican Presidential campaign vocalized his venom at the McCain mutiny which detracted attention from his kabuki show of bipartisanship to the occupied Senate floor, McCain was faced with an awkward elevator ride.  None other than Senator Rand Paul joined him in the elevator.

It seems dubious that McCain and Paul had a rapprochement considering McCain's outburst on Twitter today.

Maybe Senator McCain can get some more material from his well placed daughter, MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain

In other news,  Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) has announced that he is retiring after he completes his sixth term in 2014.  Wonder if other "old birds" will follow that pattern and migrate South to Arizona  too.

And when does RINO hunting season start (sic)?
