An Ode to Individuality

Parts of this long quote have often been misattributed to Albert Einstein. But the origins of the insight were more idiosyncratic but interesting.  

Alan Ashley-Pitt was the pen name of Phil Wernig, who wrote a bunch of pithy phrases for a small greeting card company based in Santa Barbara, California during the late 1960s.  While the company was dissolved in 1974, the fractured phrases remain to this day.
