Greg Gutfeld on Politics

For those who can stare into the cacotopic cyber crystal ball and see what is in store for Obama's America, witness the Mo-Town Owe-Town Fugue.

Motown Owe-town Fugue

In musical terms, a fugue is a polyphonic composition in which themes are successively stated in counterpoint.  So some might give a bad rap to the concept video which is labeled a fugue.  But in psychiatric terms, a fugue is a pathological amnesia condition during which one is conscious of actions but later has no recollection of them when returning to a normal state.

Considering the counterpoints of corruption, along with moral and financial bankruptcy over the past 50 years, this could qualify as either a melodic or mental fugue. The sad part of it is that Detroit seems conscious of its pathologies yet it still expects civic affairs to go on in a normal state.

As the spot for the District of Calamity (sic) is already filled at Fantasyland on the Potomac, the Detroit State of Mind might better be applied as the State of Confusion.

Obama's Spirit of Detroit

Using a similar rhetorical formulation as when the President first spoke about Trayvon Martin--If Barack Obama had a city, it would look like Detroit.

To echo 2012 campaign slogans with the clarity of reality-- Government Motors is alive and Detroit is dead because of unions and progressive government.

Righteous Bumper Stickers

It seems only fitting that unions are still trying to drive an Edsel in a 21st Century economy.  If you wonder why they are so one sided and wrong, read Evan Sayet's The KinderGarden of Eden– How the Modern Liberal Thinks And Why He’s Convinced That Ignorance Is Bliss.

Half Baked Hostess Humor

Hostess Brands  has shut down bakeries nationwide after a strike by the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union combined with poor with poor management.

But you probably have not heard how Hostess is splitting up

its assets. It is all earmarked for the District of Calamity.

  • The State Department took all the Twinkies
  • The Secret Service hired all of the Ho-Hos
  • The generals cornered the Cupcakes
  • and the voters sent all of the Ding Dongs to Congress.

But what about the Wonder Bread?  Will the best thing since sliced bread head to the White House?

That's dubious as it is probably too white bread for the Obama's.  Besides, it doesn't go well with organic arugula.

Obama's Marching Shoes?

Last year, President Barack Obama scolded his friends at the Congressional Black Caucus for not putting on their "Marching Shoes"

However contrary to his promises on the stump to unions that he would put on comfortable shoes to march with them, Mr. Obama has disappointed his friends and not lived up to his word.

Perhaps this is because Obama  can not seem to fill his shoes.  His wife Michelle bragged during her moments of Glory at the 2012 DNC Convention in Charlotte that when they were starting out, Barack's decent pair of shoes  were a half size too small.

Maybe it's time to get resoled or just downsize his footwear.  Flip flops would be pretty comfortable on Waikiki Beach.

Tampa-fication Spreading Across America?

Democrats claiming credit for Tampa's triumphs
Tampa Bay Democrats seem quick to claim credit for Tampa triumphs during the Republican National Convention, yet these same Cigar City pols bemoan the urban "hot mess" from the lack of density and lack of mass transit. And progressives fear that Tampa-fication may spread in a prospective Romney Administration. READ MORE at the DCBarroco website

On Gov. Walker Recall--Come Smell the Dairy-Air

It's a pity that former Governor Anthony Earl (D-WI) rejected the license plate slogan "Eat Cheese or Die!" in 1985, as today the people seem to be applying the same sort of Common Sense which would make Thomas Paine proud.
