Two terrorists aligned with ISIS took hostages during a morning Mass in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy France.  The Muslim terrorists forced Fr. Jacques Hamel to kneel at the altar and then they slit the throat of the 84 year old curate as they reportedly videotaped the brutality.

Vatican spokesman Fr. Federico Lombardi. S.J., lamented the martyrdom of Fr. Hamel, noting: “We are particularly stricken because this horrible violence occurred in a church — a sacred place in which the love of God is proclaimed — with the barbaric killing of a priest." 

Terrifying Language Lesson

Such a terrifying language lesson needs to be learned by leaders after the Olympia Mall shooting in Munich, the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, the San Bernadino shooting,  and even after the 2009 massacre at Fort Hood, Texas. 

Philly Mayor Kenney-- Dhimmitude or Dimmitude?

One can marvel at the progressive cognitive dissonance on display by the newly elected Mayor of Philadelphia Jim Kenney in the wake of an attempted assassination of patrol officer Jesse Harnett. 





Kenney had the audacity to announce that the shooting had nothing to do with Islam, despite the confession of the gunman that he did it for Allah and Islam. 

It is strange how Western elected officials, like Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama and even British Prime Minister David Cameron have become self appointed experts on the real Islam.

Within shariah law, there is the concept of a Dhimmi, a non-Muslim who maintains his second class status in society by paying the jizya (an annual  capital tax on the heads of non-believers) and who are constrained from saying anything against Islam.

Is Kenney's statement a demonstration of Dhimmitude or dimmitude to curry favor with President Barack Obama as well as his local electorate?

Geraldo Rivera Shoots His Mouth Off on Second Amendment During Active Shooter Terror Attack

As the San Bernadino Shooting was ongoing, Fox News War Correspondent Geraldo Rivera took to twitter to condemn the Second Amendment and the NRA.

Wonder how he will shovel his opinion as it becomes clear that it was a terror attack, the likes of the Paris Shootings of November 13th which threatened his daughter studying overseas?

Barack Obama on the Paris Attacks

President Barack Obama's initial statement regarding the coordinated attacks in Paris on November 13th reveals some interesting conceits which govern his behavior.  

Firstly, Mr. Obama references universal values being under attack.  Radical Islamists on jihad certainly do not share liberal western values of humanity, freedom, pluralism and moral tolerance. So while it sounds noble to talk about universal values, it ain't necessarily so. Of course, like most other liberal Democrats, Mr. Obama seem incapable of uttering the phrase Radical Islam, especially since his 2012 U.N. Declaration that: "The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet Muhammad". 

Secondly, the current Commander-in-Chief's action statement is to work with other nations around the world to bring terrorists to justice.  Of course, rule by committee works so well in the United Nations General Assembly, doesn't it?  But more to the point, Mr. Obama pursues terrorist in a pre-911 manner that it is a law enforcement issue rather than as a national security/military matter.

To underscore what a lack of priority the Paris Attacks are to the occupier of the Oval Office, Mr. Obama showed up late for a moment of silence for the victims of the Paris Attacks during the G20 Summit.

Reacting to the irony that the Paris Attacks claimed by ISIS occurred on the same day that Mr. Obama appeared on television to claim that ISIS was under control, Dinesh D'Souza publicized a devastating accountability video.

At a time in which the world needs to show solidarity and resolve against the barbaric jihadist terrorism, Mr. Obama displays a lackluster, process driven, internationalist agenda which is premised on naive and narcissistic analyses. 

There are only 14 more months until a new President assumes office. Perhaps there will be a real leader then instead of someone who revels in the oxymoronic "leading from behind".

Should the DC GOP Change Their Symbol from an Elephant to a Turtle?

After the Iran Nuclear Deal failed to break Cloture, Senator Mitch McConnell did media rounds proclaiming that opponents may have lost a short-term battle but we won the argument.




True, only 21% of Americans support President Obama's Executive Agreement capitulation to the nuclear ambitions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but it seems that it will go into effect anyways. The Corker/Cardin Bill turned Senate Treaty ratification on its head.  Instead of requiring 2/3rds of senators to approve (67 votes), it allowed the deal to go thru with the support of only 34 Senators.  Showing such special courage, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) would not even let the Iran Nuke Deal go to a vote, but sought to let it come into effect anyways with 41 votes against Cloture (cutting off debate).  That way, waivering Democrat Senators could claim that they did not actually support the deal, when their sin of omission was to not act when they could to kill it.

The Republican Majority also showed a troubling lack of courage and conviction.  While Corker/Cardin may have been unwise (or even unconstitutional), the LAWs provisions were not even followed.  President Obama was bound by Corker/Cardin to give the Congress all information (including secret side agreements) pertaining to the Iran Nuke Deal within four days of concluding the agreement.  That July 21st deadline passed and we continue to hear more about withheld information and side treaties.  Yet the the United States Senate voted on the Iran Deal and the Senate Majority Leader has the temerity to say that "we" won.  At least the House was prodded into acknowledging that Corker/Cardin was not followed before voting against the Deal.

Majority "Leader" McConnell shows a troubling lack of leadership.  He argues that the Senate can not put together veto proof majorities, so he will not invest political capital in lots of legislation, be it the Iran Nuke Deal or Defunding Planned Parenthood.  In all likelihood neither vote would be blessed by President Obama, but it would mean taking a stand on vital issues.  Sometimes, public pressure can sway an obstinate politician.  Even if it is unsuccessful, it differentiates parties instead of having a District of Calamity Cocktail Party where party labels do not matter.

It is troubling that Senator McConnell thinks that "we won" for the Iran Nuke Deal, when this procedure allows the mullahs in Iran to get $150 Billion in frozen assets to fund their unrenounced terrorist ambitions. McConnell thinks this will be a great campaign issue. Really? Playing politics with American National Security?  Kind of sounds like what establishment Republicans did with Obamacare, promising repeal and staging show votes but never taking a hard stand.

Is this leadership which the Republican base really wants? Cocktail Party Quislings who say one thing on the hustings and act another way on Capitol Hill. Perhaps the Between the Beltways GOP should change their symbol from the Elephant who always remembers to the Turtle which recoils from any threat.

Bobby Jindal on Radical Islam

In the wake of the Chattanooga terrorist attack, Republican Presidential candidate Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R-LA) had harsh words for the Obama Administration and their inability to admit that radical Islamists are inflicting violence on America. 

Some jaded political pundits perceive Governor Jindal's statements as being calculated comments to draw attention to his fledgling Presidential campaign or even to make the top ten cut for the Fox News opening debate. These analysis are either ignorant of Governor Jindal's hard hitting January 2015 foreign policy speech in London when he criticized Sharia "no go zones", his commitment to protecting religious liberty for persecuted Christians or his evangelical political appeal. 

These Cocktail Party commentators seemingly prefer that people ruminate on whether Caitlyn (ne Bruce) Jenner should have received the ESPY "Courage" award or wiping the Confederate Flag from the Dukes of Hazzard car because of the Charleston church shooting.  Mainstream media commentators like symbolism and ultimately ineffective action rather than dealing with a prickly socio-political problem which regularly costs lives throughout the globe and continues to come to our shores. 

Donald Trump has made a splash on the campaign circuit with his tough talk on America's illegal immigration morass and has rocked up the polls. While this Trump popularity may not last, it does show that a wide segment of the Republican electorate are tired of mealy mouthed politicos who spout politically correct platitudes while doing nothing to tend to festering wounds to the American body.

Rather than perceive Gov. Jindal's comments as a cynical campaign strategy, it would be wise to appreciate Jindal naming Radical Islam as the enemy as plain talk on real problems which have been ignored during the Obama Administration. Perhaps that is eventually a winning strategy. Nevertheless, it beats robotically recited platitudes, carefully controlled listening tours and a strange Scooby mobile.
