Bloomberg Believes That He's Earned an E-Z Pass Thru the Pearly Gates

As Michael Bloomberg engaged in a publicity campaign with the New York Times which highlighted his $50 million personal contribution to support gun control, the three term former  Mayor (D,R,I, D- NYC) offered some insightful opinions on his eternal reward
.
While Mr. Bloomberg is Jewish in origin and agnostic in practice, he is confident that his nanny state policies banning Big Gulps, trans-fats, salt and his efforts to grab guns has earned him an easy pass through the Pearly Gates, should it exist.

Bloomberg's metaphysical musings seem counter to Christian concepts of sacrificial redemption from the Cross, which will be celebrated this weekend during the Triduum and Easter.

Street Legal In NYC

New York voters can thank their duly elected officials, Mayor Michael "No Big Gulp for You"  Bloomberg (D-R-I-? NYC) and Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) for such prescient policies which are portrayed by the Lamestream Media as "common sense solutions".

Unfortunately, the Empire State's insanity is looking to spread throughout the nation.  And both Cuomo and Bloomberg harbor aspirations for higher office.

Assaulting One's Intelligence (sic)

Sadly, the Mayor of New York Michael "Nanny" Bloomberg, has succeeded in banning in innocuous "Big Gulps" and is now severely limiting pain killing prescriptions supposedly to prevent abuse.  However, it could also have an appearance issue.  After all, it could have a scurrilous reputation because of the name "pain-killers."

Isn't benign despotism by our political "betters" grand?

Big Gulp--Nanny Bloomberg's "Modest Proposal" Super Sized Sugary Soda Ban Approved

Today the New York City Board of Health approved  Mayor Michael Bloomberg's (D-R-I-NYC) Large Soda Ban by a nine to nothing vote (with one abstention).  The Health Board claims that they received 32,000 comments and only 6,000 people objected. Yet this rousing ratification of the Nanny State comes despite  public polling that 60% of New Yorkers opposed this ban on sugary sodas larger than a pint. Granted, we have seen how Democrats can treat the popular vote when there is a desired decision in mind.  So what does the vox populi matter when your progressive political betters know what is best for you?
