Peter King's Primary Cruz Contingency Plan
On the day of the New York Primary, Representative Peter King (R-NY 2nd) had an interesting interview with MSNBC's Joe Scarborough. As the host jocularly joked that Rep. King was Republican Presidential hopeful Senator Ted Cruz's (R-TX) Long Island campaign chair, the crotchety Congressmen set to disabuse Scarborough of this impression.
King vented his verjuice against the Tea Party inspired Constitutionalist candidate by vowing to take cyanide if Senator Cruz gets the nomination.
Wags like conservative commentator Ben Shapiro opined tongue in cheek that this was the best rationale for voting for Cruz.
This is not the first time that Peter King has let loose on Cruz. King went vitriolic on Cruz in January when Cruz noted liberal New York Values.

NYT Political Reporter Refuses to Condemn Hillary Clinton
On MSNBC's Morning Joe, New York Times Politics Reporter Jeremy Peters refuses to comment on a federal judge's declaration that leading Democrat Presidential candidate former First Lady, Senator, Obama Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had not followed government policy while at the State Department.
It is understandable that a reporter may not want to reveal his or her political bias and condemn a figure to which access can be limited. But the converse is not true for progressive politicians and the Lamestream Media.
What is remarkable, however, was the persistence that Joe Scarborough displayed in trying to get Peters to badmouth Hillary. It is also notable that Washington Post columnist Gene Robinson, only gave the facts regarding Hillary's e-mails and refused to comment. Moreover, it looks like Robinson enjoyed watching Peters squirm.

Scarborough: "Hillary Has a Glass Jaw"
During an interview with Salem Radio host Hugh Hewitt, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough opined that inchoate Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton has "a glass jaw".
This would explain why Hillary has tried to shield herself from any vigorous interaction with even a friendly press. Moreover, it necessitates intimidating other prospective Democrat candidates, in order to maintain the political Potemkin Village of "inevitability".

Obama's New Golf War? (sic)
While the parents of murdered photojournalist James Foley were meeting the press, President Obama took five minutes away from his current vacation on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts to comment on the brutal beheading. Within ten minutes of Mr. Obama's brief statement, the so called "Preezy of the United Steezy" was back on the golf course, yukking it up with golf partner former hoops star Alonzo Mourning.
President Obama's photo op was not generally well received even in the liberal Lamestream Media. Some journalists criticized Mr. Obama's informality, speaking on such a serious subject without wearing a tie. Another complaint was President Obama referring to the slain American as "Jim", as if the President had personally known the deceased hostage. The vacuousness of the comments did not satisfy the hunger in the public to do something. To that end, there were governmental leaks about a failed hostage rescue by American armed forces. What seemed to be most damaging was the optic about Mr. Obama shifting from being Mourner in Chief to golfing with Alonzo Mourning so quickly after the event.
On MSNBC's "The Morning Joe", host Joe Scarborough offered an alternative take on what the New York Daily News dubbed "Bama's Golf War".
Well, isn't that special? Here's a pro tip for Joe Scarborough -- resist Potomac Fever. As late as March, 2014, Scarborough, the former four term Republican (?) Congressman from the Florida panhandle (FL-1st), had been publicly toying with a Presidential run. You have no real path to the Oval Office and you will never be able to make $99,000 a week other than doing something like your faux conservative schtick on "The Morning Joke".
Pro arguendo, if President Obama is intentionally projecting an image of being a cold customer to intimidate ISIS, it is worth considering the results of this "strategerie".
In attempt to be charitable, one hopes that this is not a concerted strategy from Obama's Oval Office (or putting green), but is a manifestation of a Celebrity-in-Chief who is just playing through-- same as it ever was.

MSNBC Fails on Cruz Control -- A Heller of a Mistake (sic)
When the Senate Judiciary Committee considered gun rights, there was a heated exchange between senior Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and freshman Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). The initial exchange on the assault weapons ban, which Senator Cruz seemed to imply that Congress can not pick and choose bans which seemed oblivious to the landmark Heller case (1988), where the majority opinion allowed for the banning of some weapons. This Senatorial colloquy agitated MSNBC Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough to wonder if Senator Cruz ever read the Heller decision.
Had Scarborough done his homework and watched the rest of the proceeding, the former GOP Congressman turned into MSNBC morning anchor might not have proffered that prejudicial political philippic.
Senator Cruz noted the Majority holding in Heller and highlighted how the Supreme Court had specifically rejected prohibitions on classes of weapons in common use.
MSNBC prides itself on the "Lean Forward" slogan. Alas, this is another example of "Mess-DNC" Leaning Forward into ridicule. No wonder MSNBC is in the bottom of expanded cable news networks and in some cases is running behind Headline News Network. Soon it might be running behind Al Jazeera America.
N.B.- For the Heller case, Ted Cruz only offered an amicus brief to the Supreme Court. But he was not "utterly ignorant" about the Heller case and his account of the Heller holding was accurate.
