On Free Speech in a Globalized World
Flemming Rose is the editor of the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, who created controversy in 2005 by publishing cartoons of the prophet Mohammed which caused unrest worldwide amongst some offended Islamists.
Rose wrote a book recounting some of his concerns for free speech in Tyranny of Silence (2014) and summarized his thoughts about free speech in a globalized world during the 2014 Oslo Freedom Forum Pamela Geller, the publisher of Atlas Shrugged blog, is revisiting this subject by sponsoring a "Draw the Prophet" contest with a $10,000 prize to be awarded in Garland, Texas on May 3rd, 2015.
Flemming Rose's fear of the tyranny of silence may be heightened in America by the FCC's usurpation of the internet through Title II regulations said to address net neutrality issues, but may end up with a politically correct and highly regulated product which could be called "Obamanet".

Red-Lined Bill of Rights
It's a pity that so much red-ink has been used to touch up this symbolic piece of parchment, especially since so much blood has been spilled to protect it.
It might be time to correct the "Teacher's" red-lined "corrections". Is it Tea time again? Or maybe better to wonder "Who is John Galt?"
Alas, newly confirmed CIA Director John Brennan chose to take his oath of office on the original Constitution without the Bill of Rights. Inquiring minds what to know what this means.

Lotto Luck Avoiding the Fiscal Cliff
As American teeters at the edge of the fiscal cliff, and most of the Lamestream Media gave saturation coverage to Powerball mania, it may be instructive to use the lotto fever paradigm to explain the futility of “soaking the rich” via President Obama’s unceasing class warfare campaigning as governing strategy.
As the Heritage Foundation’s graphic illustrates, even confiscating all of the lucky Lotto winners gross (granted government already takes around 50%), this would only fund the Federal Government for 86 MINUTES.
... If the American public thinks that by soaking the wealthiest one percent, it will balance the budget, then lotto luck. If they are able to engage in critical thinking, it would behoove them to determine what is someone’s “fair share”. Moreover, since the Obama Administration has defined millionaires downward to just $200,000, they should discern how low the label of the wealthy will go when seizing true millionaire’s incomes only funds the government for around just 100 days. As Ayn Rand observed in Atlas Shrugged: “If you don't know, the thing to do is not to get scared, but to learn.” READ MORE at DCBarroco.com
