Keith Ellison Denies Populist Democrat Demagogue
On ABC's This Week with George Stephanopolis. Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN 5th) asserted that Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump (R-NY) was the worst Republican Presidential candidate since George Wallace.
Another panelist Representative Tom Cole (R-OK 3rd) gently reminded Ellison that former Governor George Wallace (D-AL) was actually a Democrat, who ran for the Democrat Presidential nomination in 1964, 1972 and 1976. And in 1968, Wallace ran under the banner of the American Independence Party which accommodated a Southern populist and segregationalist platform.

Never miss a chance for Democrats to deny inconvenient truths from their party's history as well as attempt to smear Republicans.

Donald Trump Rallies Violence?
Part of Donald Trump's leitmotif during the 2016 Republican Presidential Nomination race is to tap into the anger of the so called "Silent Majority" by inspiring large celebrity styled campaign rallies.
Trump revels at being politically incorrect and pugnacious, so he does not suffer fools lightly for protesters who dare to counter-demonstrate at his events. The problem with such truculent tactics is that it rubs off on his fanatical supporters.
During the Miami Republican Debate, CNN moderator Jake Tapper questioned Trump about violence which has been bubbling up at his recent rallies.
Instead of immediately distancing himself from crazies at campaign rallies, Trump first feigns ignorance, then demonizes the disruptive dissidents then denies that he did anything.
Tapper pushed back on Trump's tacit tolerance of the violence by pointing out several instances which Trump egged on or encouraged his followers to give the unwanted guest an abusive adieux.
While it can be claimed that Trump says that he does not condone violence at rallies, his justifications impeach that assertion. Moreover, after the debate, Trump told ABC News that: "The audience swung back [on Trump disrupters]...what we need to see a bit more of."
Many media commentators heaped praise on Trump for utilizing a soft spoken approach and not hurling crude insults at his opponents during the Miami GOP Debate. Yet the paralepsis politician continues to play the media, by implying something without saying it, albeit in without typical bluster or bombast.
Was the Trump pussy footing around distancing himself from David Duke in 2016 because the man who has the self proclaimed best memory did not recall what white supremacists groups are or because they were a small slice of useful idiots to vote in the SEC dominated Super Tuesday? How about Trump touting authoritarian exertions of strength by Putin and the Chinese Red Army repressing the Tiannamen Square protests, yet claiming that he did not endorse the actions?
Is this the "new normal" in the American polity?
Post Scriptus 03/13/2016 After reports that Moveon.org and Bernie Sanders supporters were the groups which shut down the Trump Rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago, Trump tweeted a taunt and threat:

Rocky Rhodes (sic) from Benghazi Bungle
Kudos to Jonathan Karl of ABC News for aggressively questioning White House Press Secretary Jay Carney about discrepancies in their Benghazi bungling cover up.
Of course, the connection between NSC Deputy Assistant Secretary Ben Rhodes, who composed the alternative explanation email and his brother David Rhodes, who President of CBS News, is around a year old. However, Ben Rhodes' incriminating email was just confirmed after a FOIA request from Judicial Watch.

Obama White House Dog Run?
White House photograph Pete Sueza snapped a telling shot of President Barack Obama running through a corridor of the White House with First Dog Bo.
Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA 49th) took a great verbal snap with this snapshot by combining this picture with the controversy of the Obama Administration's cancellation of White House tours supposedly due to Sequestration. Issa's commentary was "We've finally got he place to ourselves..." along with the caption "Our Capitol doors are always open".
On a related note, President Obama blamed the Secret Service on Wednesday for laying off personnel due to the sequester and he has hinted at the resumption of tours for student groups of the American People's House.
It should be noted that this statement comes after what ABC News' George Stephanopolis characterized as "considerable heat" over the cancellations. Several prominent people, including Fox News Channel anchor Eric Bolling along with real estate mogul and "The Apprentice" host Donald Trump had offered to write checks to continue the White House tours after the Sequester.
It seems that the Obama Administration is shifting the heat, as there are current headlines that the sequestration's "shoestring" budgeting (which is just cutting the rate of increase of the federal budget) will cancel the Fourth of July concert and fireworks on the National Mall. At least this aggressive austerity does not indiscriminately release incarcerated illegal aliens. And no Independence Day celebration would allow the Ellipse to be a gigantic dog run. Or a nearby golf course on Federal land.
